Abstract

Constant innovations and changes in organizational behaviour are focal points of businesses and the academic world. Job crafting, work engagement and person-job fit are among these changes. In particular, determining these variables' relationships is important in the literature and the business world. This study examined the moderator role of person-job fit in the relationship between job crafting and work engagement. Data were collected by applying an online questionnaire to 308 academics who continue their research in Turkey. These collected data were analysed using AMOS-22 and SPSS-27 package programs. Correlation analysis was performed to determine the relationship between the variables, and regression analysis was performed with Process Macro to test the hypotheses. As a result of the analysis, it has been determined that job crafting increases job engagement, and person-job fit has a moderator role in the relationship between job crafting and work engagement.
