Abstract

One of the most controversial issues in the field of health today is city hospitals. This study examined the news in the media about city hospitals. The scope of the research consisted of 1358 news in Milliyet and Hürriyet Newspapers. Web mining (obtaining data) and text mining techniques (analyzing data) were used. Keywords were determined with word clouds, and visualization was made. Sentiment analysis was also used to determine whether the news was negative, neutral or positive. When we look at both the title and the content, the words that attracted the most attention, apart from words such as "City", "Hospital", "Health", and "Life", were "President", "Erdogan", and "Minister". Likewise, when looking at both the title and the contents, it was determined that a mostly positive approach was adopted. Apart from these, it has been observed that there has been a significant increase in the number of news about city hospitals in recent years. As a result, news plays an important role in shaping the thoughts and behaviours of individuals. In this direction, it is thought that these outputs about city hospitals will make an important contribution to the literature in terms of showing the general framework.
